Donate
We want to be honest before we ask for anything.
We cannot give tax receipts. Reachable is not a registered charity. Donations to Reachable are not tax-deductible until the Canada Revenue Agency registers Reachable Access Society as a charity. That usually takes a year or more after a society is incorporated, and incorporation is still in progress.
We are not taking money yet
We will add a donation page here once the society exists and has a bank account in its own name. Until then we do not accept donations, so that nobody's money sits in a personal account.
Donation page: coming soon. When it is ready, this notice becomes a button.
Want to know when it is ready? Email hello@reachablesociety.ca with "donate" in the subject line and we will tell you.
What donations will pay for
- Phone minutes and phone numbers for the Reachable Line and for Reachable Numbers.
- The cost of incorporating the society and insuring it.
- A website address and a little postage.
Nobody is paid. The software and the server are already owned by the founder and donated. We will publish our budget and our spending every year.
Ways to help right now
- Volunteer a few hours a month.
- Tell a senior, a neighbour, or a caregiver about the Reachable Line once the number is live.
- Tell a tiny nonprofit about Reachable Tech.
- Tell a shelter or an outreach worker about Reachable Number.
