Volunteer with Reachable
A few hours a month can put help within someone's reach.
Ways to help
Benefits navigator
Sit with a person, by phone or in person, and help them understand a benefit and fill in the application. Help them get the doctor's part signed. You need patience and a calm voice. We train you on the programs. You never give medical, legal, or financial advice; you help with forms and phone calls. A criminal record check with vulnerable-sector screening is required.
Callback volunteer
The Reachable Line takes callback requests from people who need a person. You call them back, look things up, and help them find the right office. You need a phone, a quiet place, and a few hours a week or a month. A criminal record check with vulnerable-sector screening is required.
Tech volunteer
Build and hand off websites, donation pages, sign-up forms, and small automations for tiny nonprofits, using simple tools, then teach the group's owner to run it. Good for people who like finishing things and writing clear instructions. Comfort with website builders, spreadsheets, and forms is enough; you do not need to be a programmer.
